Summary

Lockinly is a free Chrome extension for ADHD focus. We do not sell your data, show ads in the extension, or require an account. Your focus settings and session history stay on your device.

What Lockinly does not collect

• We do not read, store, or transmit webpage content you visit.
• We do not track your browsing history.
• We do not collect personal information inside the extension.

What is stored locally (on your device)

Lockinly uses Chrome's chrome.storage.local API to save:

• Your settings (timer length, blocked sites, focus mode preferences)
• Session history, streaks, and focus statistics
• Onboarding completion state
• A random anonymous ID used only for install/uninstall telemetry (see below)

This data never leaves your device except for the anonymous pings described below.

Anonymous install & uninstall telemetry

When you install or remove Lockinly, the extension may send a single anonymous ping to lockinly.com. This ping includes:

• The anonymous ID (random UUID, stored only on your device)
• The extension version number

We use your IP address only to determine your country (e.g. "United Kingdom"). The full IP is not stored. No browsing data or page content is included.

If you uninstall, you may see a brief optional survey on our website. Feedback you submit there is sent to our team to improve the product.

Website (lockinly.com)

This marketing site may use analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand traffic. Install/uninstall events may be logged server-side with country-level metadata only.

Permissions explained

• storage — save your settings and stats locally
• alarms — Pomodoro timer and check-in notifications
• notifications — session complete and time check-ins
• tabs / webNavigation — block distracting sites during sessions; tab intention gate
• contextMenus — right-click to block/unblock a site
• host_permissions (<all_urls>) — focus mode dimming and YouTube focus on pages you visit

Children & schools

Lockinly collects no personal data from any user, including children. It is suitable for school and DSA (Disabled Students Allowance) contexts alongside our companion product Dyslexly.
